最近有好幾份研究報告，您看了嗎?

這二個月看到許多報告出爐，有一些研究(報告)已經連續做了好幾年，大家應該都很熟悉了，有些則是平常較少人注意，比較專注特定領域，但都與圖書館有關。這裡列了7份報告，前4個跟圖書館的經營及趨勢有關，後3者則分別是圖書館自動化系統及RDM。

1. 2017 ACRL Environmental Scan (2017年3月發佈)
   ACRL Research Planning and Review Committee 每二年會發表針對高等教育環境的掃描告，內容也包含了大學圖書館相關內容。
2. NMC Horizon Report > 2017 Library Edition (2017年3月發佈)
   在3月底的2017年ACRL年會中公佈，這份報告就底下3個問題試著找出答案：
   • What is on the five-year horizon for academic and research libraries?
   • Which trends and technology developments will drive transformation?
   • What are the critical challenges and how can we strategize solutions?

   Six key trends, six significant challenges, and six developments in technology profiled in this report are poised to impact library strategies, operations, and services with regards to learning, creative inquiry, research, and information management.

3. ITHAKA S+R US Library Survey 2016 (2017年4月初發佈)
   Ithaka S+R 自 2000年起每3年就會做一次Faculty Survey，但這次的 Library Survey 則是要從大學圖書館館長的角度來檢視策略及領導的議題，希望可以提供一些資訊供參考。编目精灵已經有中文重點摘譯，見文後的延伸閱讀連結。

4. State of America’s Libraries Report 2017 (2017年4月發佈)
   In the 21st century, libraries of all types are responding to the changing social, economic, and political impacts of living in a digital society. Academic, school, and public libraries provide services that empower people for change. Library workers’ expertise, combined with dynamic collections and digital resources, help individuals develop new skills, communicate with others through new technologies, and help make their communities better places to live.

   

5. Library Systems Report 2017 (2017年5月初發佈)
   Marshall Breeding每年一度的圖書館自動化系統報告在5月份的American Libraries Magazine刊出了，Breeding分析了這個產業裡的發展，有上下垂直整合的，如 EX Libris 與 ProQuest，也有同產業的整合，如不斷的併購其他自動他系統廠商。比較另我驚訝的是，在自動化系統的分類裡，LSP 只列了 Alma 及 WorldShare Management Services。目前市場安裝數如下圖：

   

6. Library Systems Landscape 2017 (2017年4月初發佈)
   圖書館自動化系統的調查，除了 Marshall Breeding 的報告外，就是 Library Journal這份了。在 LJ 的問卷回覆中，大學圖書館中有高達 43% 對目前的 ILS 或是 LSP 深表不滿。不滿的原因不外乎是系統複雜和昂貴，並且可以選擇的產品也減少了很多 (LV深表同感 😉 )。

   

7. The Realities of Research Data Management (2017年3月初發佈)如果您是在大學圖書館工作，因該會發現這幾年越來越常聽到 Research Data Management (RDM，研究數據管理) ，OCLC 希望籍由這份報告的探討來了解研究型大學如何面對研究資料管理的挑戰。這份報告分為4部分，目前發佈的是第1部分，A Tour of the Research Data Management (RDM) Service Space。
