[新書] 圖書館卡片目錄歷史

這幾週國內外大大小小的圖書館都在熱烈響應世界閱讀日(美國還有 National Library Week)，舉辦各式各樣與閱讀相關的活動。較吸引我眼球的是美國國會圖書館在月初出版了一本很有趣的書，書名是 The Card Catalog: Books, Cards, and Literary Treasures。

全書224頁，以5個章節來介紹，從卡版目錄的起源到興起與衰退，對圖書館歷史或編目有興趣的人應該會喜歡。如果有中文版就更棒了。

在 Amazon 查看此書的訊息時，看到另一個產品 Card Catalog: 30 Notecards from the Library of Congress^[3]。它其實不是書，像是文具，但有 ISBN。這是一組用紙板所做成的卡片目錄櫃抽屜，附上30美國國會圖書館的卡片目錄複製品(還有紙袋)，背面空白，印有線條，可以寫東西。文末的連結5有詳細介紹。看來這也是送給圖書館從業人員及愛書者不錯的禮物選項之一。
