您覺得創新能力是能夠被訓練出來的嗎? 有破壞性創新大師之稱的哈佛商學院教授 Clayton M. Christensen 在去年(2011)7月與另2位教授共同出版了 The Innovator’s DNA 一書,經過8年的研究,收集自全球75個國家的500位創新者及5000位企業管理者的資料,歸納出創新者的幾項特質。

- ASSOCIATING – Connecting seemingly unrelated questions, problems, or ideas from different fields.
也就是關聯、聯想、創意,能把原本在不同領域的、不相干或錯置的問題/想法給連結起來。 - QUESTIONING – Asking questions to understand how things really are today, why they are that way, and how they might be changed or disrupted.
求知慾,對事情的來龍去脈都及影響要有所了解及掌握 - OBSERVING – Carefully watching the world to help gain insights into and ideas for new ways of doing things.
培養觀察的技能,仔細觀察及了解世界上在流行什麼,以及未來的發展…等 - EXPERIMENTING – Constantly visiting new places, trying new things, seeking new information, and experimenting to learn new things.
要具有實驗的精神、勇於嚐試及學習新事物 - NETWORKING – Going out of the way to meet people with wildly different backgrounds and perspectives to extend your own knowledge.

其實在今年4月我就曾在此分享了網路上一個介紹這5項技能的投影片[1],前不久也在一場演講裡分享了此訊息。或許藉由訓練及培養這5種技能或"習慣",真能讓人具有創新能力,但我覺得企業的組織文化也要能夠配合才行,否則有再好的人才也是白搭。
